Upgrade 5.6 to 6.8

I need to upgrade an ELK system from 5.6.2 to 6.8.8.

My plan is to upgrade before ES through a rolling upgrade and Kibana and later to upgrade logstash. Will logstash 5.6 work normally with ES 6.8.8 ?

Yes, according to the support matrix you can use LS 5.6 with ES 6.8.8.

Still, you should not face many issues migrating Logstash too to 6.8.8.

Please refer to our documentation for the upgrade.

Also ensure to use the upgrade assistant in Kibana which can help to detect issues prior the upgrade.
