So, I just did this course (on a training subscription) and I really think it needs a refresh. It's based on Kibana 6.5.x, where TSVB was "experimental" and I think Lens wasn't a thing at all.
Given the course covers "standard" visualizations and also TSVB, it would be really good if it was more current.
Hey. Thanks for taking this course. This course is indeed a bit outdated. This course is going to be removed soon. Since you are a subscriber, I would recommend you to have a look at Kibana Fundamentals or the Data Analysis with Kibana course.
