Slow Kibana after update 6.8.1 -> 7.6.2

Hi everybody,

after Elastic Stack updating from 6.8.1 to 7.6.2 we noticed that Kibana is slower to opening dashboards, settings, home and any other tab.
Can we improve speed by changing some settings or understand the cause?

Is Kibana being served over SSL? If so, is the certificate valid? Most browsers won't cache the assets in those instances, which is the most common issue. I would recommend using browsers network inspector to verify that the responses are cached.

Starting in 7.7.0 there were some big changes which were made to improve the performance of the assets, and further in the upcoming 7.8.0 release.
